How to request deletion
- Email hanchao.nyc@gmail.com with the subject “WhatsApp Data Deletion Request.”
- Include the WhatsApp phone number used to contact the Service, including country code.
- Briefly describe the information or conversation you want deleted.
For your protection: we may ask you to verify control of the WhatsApp number before processing the request. Do not email passwords, access tokens, government identification, or verification codes.
What happens next
We will acknowledge a valid request and normally complete it within 30 days. We will delete or de-identify information associated with the verified number from systems we control, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Temporary backup copies may remain until they are overwritten through routine backup cycles. Information controlled independently by Meta or WhatsApp must be managed through those services.
